What are frame synchronization used for?
In the case of video playback, frame synchronization refers to the process of matching the timing of an incoming video source to the timing of an existing video system. The frame synchronizer used in television production matches the time base of each frame in a video to a professional video system.
What is bit frame?
The bit frame is the structure on which all of the logic elements are mounted. There is one bit frame for each control stage (connected horizontally) and one for each bit (connected vertically), so the number of bit frames is the product of the number of bits and the number of control segments.
Do I need frame sync?

CAN protocol synchronous or asynchronous?
This arbitration method requires all nodes on the CAN network to be synchronized to sample every bit on the CAN network at the same time. This is why some call CAN synchronous. Unfortunately the term synchronous is imprecise since the data is transmitted in an asynchronous format, namely without a clock signal.
